Following the recent confirmation by Ogier on his renewal in the WRC also for 2021 (as 2020 was not the season he expected to play) another important news arrives: Franco Morbidelli, now engaged in the last round of the World Championship in Portimao, he will be present at the ACI Rally Monza which will conclude the 2020 WRC season, Morbidelli will race on the Hyundai i20 R5 in the WRC3 category.
As the pilot pointed out, these are chances that happen a few times in the course of a lifetime:
“I am thrilled by the opportunity to compete in a real round of the WRC World Rally Championship. It will be a crazy opportunity to be among the best drivers in the world and try to compete in a motorsport different from mine. It will be an experience of sure fun, I will have to learn many details quickly and it will not be trivial to get used to having two more wheels in a few days. When Matteo Ballarin called me, I didn’t think twice about it, on the other hand these are experiences that you only have a few times in your life. “
